Web Filtering and Parent Controls – A Readiness checklist for District IT Teams

Indiana schools are already required to maintain an Internet use policy
and filter harmful content on school-owned devices.
By January 1, 2027, districts must also have a process that allows
parents or guardians to request stronger filtering, block specific websites
or content, and limit device use outside of school and virtual learning.
